Description
Fresh Apple Salsa is a delicious combination of sweet and tart apples, spicy jalapeños, fresh cilantro, and lime juice. This versatile salsa works well as a topping for chicken or pork or as a dip with tortilla chips.

- 1 red apple (Honeycrisp, Gala, Pink Lady or any variety), finely chopped
- 1 green apple (Granny Smith), finely chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 large jalapeño, minced (optional, adjust to taste)
- 3 Tablespoons lime juice
- 1–2 Tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped apples, onion, jalapeño (if using), and cilantro.
- Add the fresh lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
- Mix all ingredients well to combine.
- Serve immediately or store the homemade apple salsa in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Notes
- You can add cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, or celery to your apple fruit salsa for more variety.
- Substitute green onion for the red onion if you prefer.
- Use any variety of sweet or tart apples for this easy apple salsa recipe.
- Substitute agave or maple syrup for the honey for a different sweetness.
- Omit the jalapeños or add less for a milder apple salsa, or add more for spicy apple salsa.
