Description

Cajun Smoked Sausage Alfredo Pasta is a bold and creamy dish that blends smoky sausage with Cajun seasoning in a rich Alfredo sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned and slightly crispy, about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the Cajun seasoning and stir to combine.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, allowing it to slightly thicken.
  5. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss everything together to coat well in the Alfredo sauce.
  7. Cook for another minute or two until heated through. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
