Description

This Cheeseburger Queso Dip is a creamy, crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for game nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Ground Beef (can substitute with plant-based ground beef)
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese (can use Neufchâtel cheese for a lighter alternative)
  • 1 cup Sour Cream (Greek yogurt can be used for a healthier option)
  • ½ cup Milk (use unsweetened almond milk for a dairy-free version)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (swap with pepper jack for added spice)
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (Gouda can be an alternative)
  • ½ cup Cooked Bacon (can substitute with turkey bacon or omit)
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning (a mix of cumin, paprika, and chili powder can be a homemade alternative)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (fresh minced garlic is a punchier alternative)
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder (use freshly diced onions for better flavor)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook 1 pound of ground beef over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 8 ounces of cream cheese, stirring frequently for about 3-5 minutes until smooth. Mix in 1 cup of sour cream and ½ cup of milk until silky.
  3. Gradually add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, stirring until each addition melts completely, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Fold in the cooked ground beef and ½ cup of crumbled bacon. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve immediately while warm. Pair with dippers like tortilla chips.
