- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (or cashew cream for dairy-free)
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream (or Greek yogurt)
- 1 tsp Dijon Mustard (omit for milder flavor)
- 1 tsp Anchovy Paste (omit for vegetarian)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (optional)
- 1 clove Garlic (grated)
- 4 pieces Hoagies or Baguette (the base of your sandwich)
- 3–4 cups Romaine Lettuce (chopped or shredded)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts into thin cutlets, then whisk together the egg and milk, mixing in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat and fry the chicken cutlets.
- Prepare the garlic butter by mixing melted butter with mayonnaise, minced garlic, parsley, and parmesan until smooth.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F, split the hoagies or baguettes, and spread garlic butter on the inside. Toast in the oven for 3-4 minutes.
- Whisk together the ingredients for the Caesar dressing in a separate bowl and set aside.
- Assemble the sandwiches by layering fried chicken cutlets and dressed romaine lettuce on the buttered toasted bread.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm with sides like potato chips or waffle fries.
