Description

A quick and satisfying stir-fry featuring tender beef and sweet, caramelized onions, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the skillet in a single layer and cook without stirring for about 4-5 minutes until browned.
  3. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside to keep it tender.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Cook until the onions are soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and add the soy sauce. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
