Description
These festive no-bake Christmas Rice Crispy Treats are a holiday delight, combining gooey marshmallows, crunchy rice cereal, and vibrant red and green sprinkles with crushed candy canes for a sweet treat.

- 6 cups (180g) rice cereal
- 4 cups (600g) mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons (45g) butter
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (75g) red and green sprinkles
- 1/2 cup (75g) crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Quickly pour the marshmallow mixture over the rice cereal in a large bowl.
- Gently fold until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan using a greased spatula.
- Immediately sprinkle the red and green sprinkles and crushed candy canes over the top, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Allow to cool completely at room temperature for about 1 hour.
- Cut into squares or festive shapes using cookie cutters.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Notes
- Make sure to press the mixture firmly into the pan for better shape.
- For added flavor, you can substitute vanilla extract with peppermint extract.
