Description
This Crazy Good Pizza Burger Pie Dinner combines the juicy flavor of a cheeseburger with the saucy, cheesy goodness of a pizza, all baked into a savory pie.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Press the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, trimming any excess dough. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Drain any excess fat. Season the mixture with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir in the marinara sauce and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until everything is heated through and well combined. Remove from heat.
- Spoon the beef and sauce mixture evenly into the prepared pie crust. Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top, followed by pepperoni slices if using. For extra flavor, add a light dusting of grated Parmesan cheese over everything.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let the pie rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
