Description
A delicious and easy to prepare dish combining chicken, cheese tortellini, and marinara sauce in a slow cooker.
Ingredients

- Olive oil spray
- 1 ½ lbs chicken breast (about 4 medium breasts)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion granules
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning mix
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth
- 1 lb cheese tortellini
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 cups baby spinach
- ⅓ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Spray the Slow Cooker with olive oil spray.
- Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom.
- Pour marinara sauce and spices over the chicken.
- Pour chicken broth over the mixture.
- Cover and slow cook on LOW for about 240 minutes (4 hours).
- Use two forks to shred the chicken.
- Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
- Stir in tortellini, mozzarella, and heavy cream.
- Cover and cook on LOW for another 30 minutes.
- Toss in spinach and let wilt for 10 minutes.
- Finish with Parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning to taste.
