Description

Irresistibly Sweet Glazed Pork Chops for Family Dinners

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chops Boneless Pork Chops (Choose chops around ½ inch thick for even cooking.)
  • ¼ cup Honey (Can be substituted with maple syrup.)
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic (Use fresh garlic for the best results.)
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce (Opt for gluten-free soy sauce if needed.)
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup (Can be swapped with tomato paste for lower sugar.)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Use light olive oil for higher smoke point.)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano (Fresh oregano can be substituted for brightness.)
  • to taste Salt & Black Pepper (Adjust according to dietary needs.)
  • optional Fresh Parsley (For garnish.)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, olive oil, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  2. Place the boneless pork chops in a Ziplock bag or a shallow dish. Pour the prepared marinade over the pork, ensuring each chop is coated evenly.
  3. Preheat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes. Add light olive oil to coat the skillet.
  4. Sear the marinated pork chops for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and caramelized.
  5. Pour the remaining marinade over the seared pork chops in the skillet, allowing it to bubble and thicken.
  6. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven set at 375°F and bake for 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the glazed pork chops rest for about 3-4 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with your choice of sides for a complete meal.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
