- 1 loaf French Bread
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Melted
- 1 cup Marinara or Pizza Sauce
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella
- 1 cup Pepperoni Slices
- 1/2 cup Finely Grated Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Basil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
- Mix the melted butter with minced garlic, then brush this garlic butter onto the cut sides of the French bread.
- Toast the bread in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- Spread marinara sauce on the toasted sides of the bread, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
- Add pepperoni or other toppings, then bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, cool slightly, garnish with Parmesan and basil, then slice and serve.
Notes
- Use your favorite sauce as a base.
- Swap pepperoni for vegetables for a vegetarian option.
- Can omit Parmesan for a vegan option.
