Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fillets Salmon (Ideally around 6 ounces each for even cooking.)
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar (Dark brown gives a deeper flavor.)
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce (Low-sodium recommended.)
- 2 tablespoons Butter (Melted for optimal mixing.)
- 2 tablespoons Honey (Can substitute with maple syrup.)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (Can swap for fresh garlic.)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper (Adjust to taste.)
- 1/2 teaspoon Paprika (Optional.)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley (For garnish, can use dried.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until smooth.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet and brush half of the glaze over them.
- Bake for 8 minutes, then check for color change to opaque.
- Remove from oven, brush remaining glaze over the salmon, and return to oven for an additional 8 to 10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Let the salmon rest for about 2 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve alongside rice or steamed vegetables.
