- 1 block firm tofu
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture and slice it into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, maple syrup, liquid smoke, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Toss the tofu strips in the marinade and let them soak for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the marinated tofu strips and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until crispy and browned.
- Serve your crispy tofu bacon as a side dish or add to brunch spreads.
