Description

These fluffy, warm cinnamon rolls feature a sweet, gooey filling and a delightful glaze, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and active dry yeast, then add sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups flour, melted butter, eggs, salt, and yeast mixture. Stir to blend, then gradually add remaining flour until you have a soft, elastic dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-8 minutes, then place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Spread softened butter, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces. Place in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls.
