Delicious Apple Bundt Cake Recipe for Fall Baking

- 2 1/2 cups (312.5g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (4.5g) baking soda
- 1 teaspoon (2.6g) ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon (1.2g) ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon (0.6g) ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks, 226g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (4.2g) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (240ml) buttermilk
- 3 cups (360g) peeled and diced apples (such as Honeycrisp or Gala)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the cake is cooling, prepare the glaze. In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Let the glaze set before slicing and serving.
