Ingredients
Scale
- 14 ounces tri-color coleslaw mix OR about 8 cups shredded cabbage & carrots
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Combine the dressing ingredients in a small bowl; mix well.
- Transfer the coleslaw mix to a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the dressing over the coleslaw mix and stir to combine.
- Enjoy immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- For a creamier coleslaw, use up to 1 cup of mayonnaise.
- Coleslaw tastes best when it has time to marinate; if possible, make it at least 30 minutes in advance.
- Recipe Variations: Use any combination of shredded cabbage, substitute shredded broccoli (broccoli slaw), add chopped sweet onion or bell peppers, add minced jalapeño for a spicy kick, adjust sugar to taste, add garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika, or use apple cider, rice wine, or white balsamic vinegar in place of white vinegar.
- Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and will last up to one week.
