Delicious and chewy homemade everything bagels with a crispy exterior and an explosion of flavor from everything bagel seasoning.
Ingredients

- 4 ⅔ cups bread flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 ⅔ cups warm water
- 1 egg white + 1 tablespoon water (for wash)
- 3 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Combine bread flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, instant yeast, and kosher salt in a stand mixer bowl.
- Gradually add warm water and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 3-4 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
- Divide risen dough into 10 pieces and shape into bagels.
- Let bagels rest for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F and prepare baking sheets lined with parchment.
- Bring 2 quarts of water mixed with 2 tablespoons of sugar to a boil.
- Boil bagels for 45-60 seconds on each side.
- Prepare egg wash by whisking egg white with 1 tablespoon of water.
- Brush boiled bagels with egg wash and sprinkle with everything seasoning.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before slicing and serving.
