- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for coating)
- Oil for spraying
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and a touch of sugar and bring to a rolling boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, add the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt all at once, stirring vigorously until the mixture forms a smooth ball.
- Remove from heat and let the dough cool for a few minutes before stirring in the vanilla extract.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the dough into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil and arrange the dough balls inside, ensuring they are not touching.
- Air fry for about 10 minutes or until golden brown, checking around the 8-minute mark.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for coating.
- Roll the churro bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while they’re warm.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
