Description

Deliciously soft and vibrant red cookies topped with a chocolate kiss, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the creamy mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
