- 1 cup (150g) dried cherries, finely chopped
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in finely chopped dried cherries until evenly distributed.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until bottoms are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then roll in remaining powdered sugar while still warm.
- Cool completely on wire racks, then roll in powdered sugar again for a snowy appearance.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
