Description

Enjoy a vibrant Pear Salad with Feta and Cranberries, perfect as a fall appetizer, combining sweetness and tartness for a delicious dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium Pears (Firm varieties like Bartlett are recommended.)
  • 4 cups Lettuce (A blend of romaine and spring greens.)
  • 1 cup Feta Cheese (Can substitute with goat cheese.)
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries (Dried cherries can be used as a substitute.)
  • 1/2 cup Almonds (Toasted; walnuts or pumpkin seeds are alternatives.)
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Dressing (White balsamic vinegar works as a lighter alternative.)

Instructions

  1. Toast the Almonds. Place slivered almonds in a dry skillet over medium-low heat and toast for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Prepare the Greens and Pears. In a large salad bowl, mix fresh greens and thinly sliced pears.
  3. Add the Cranberries and Feta. Sprinkle dried cranberries and crumble feta cheese over the salad.
  4. Toss the Salad. Gently mix the ingredients without bruising the lettuce or pears.
  5. Dress the Salad. Drizzle balsamic dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.
