- 6 oz Mozzarella Cheese (Fresh mozzarella, pat dry)
- 4 tbsp Basil Pesto (Use sparingly)
- 1/2 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes (Optional but recommended)
- 4 slices Bacon (Can be omitted)
- 2 tbsp Butter (For grilling)
Instructions
- Prep Bread: Place two slices of sourdough bread in a frying pan, buttered side up.
- Layer Ingredients: Flip slices to buttered side down, add mozzarella, pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and bacon.
- Add More Cheese: Add another layer of mozzarella on top.
- Assemble Sandwich: Top with another slice of buttered sourdough, pressing down gently.
- Heat Pan: Turn heat to medium, frying the sandwich until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip and Finish Cooking: Carefully flip and cook the other side until golden, about 3-4 minutes more.
- Serve: Remove from pan, let cool for a minute, then slice and enjoy.
