Description

Deliciously thick cookies with crispy edges, gooey centers, and loaded with chocolate chips for a bakery-style treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups chocolate chips
  • 14 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • Optional: Extra chocolate chips and flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until creamy.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and gently fold together.
  4. Chill the dough in the fridge for at least an hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Form generous balls of dough and place on the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
