- 2 large eggs
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups chocolate chips
- 14 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- Optional: Extra chocolate chips and flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until creamy.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and gently fold together.
- Chill the dough in the fridge for at least an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Form generous balls of dough and place on the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
